My Little Man...umm, Caterpillar?

So here is Snorkie McTavish, my sweet little man, holding a
Madagascar Hissing Cockroach!
They called her "Maddy".
Snorkie was very excited to touch and hold her
until she actually touched his hand...
Then he was sure he didn't want to hold her ANYMORE!
He was so cute.

We took about 25 students to an Insectarium that is 20 minutes
from our Homeschool Co-op meeting place.
Yay Science Class!
Snorkie had a great time,
(he was the only little one there-the rest were 1st to 4th graders.)
He was a very brave adventurer!

Snorkie turned three on February 7th.
He is very sweet and very silly.
I Love him to pieces!
Surely, there are MANY more adventures to come!

  1. Snorkie boy is definitely on to something. We saw those hissing cochroaches at a local museum and luckily they were IN the terrarium. Yikes! Definitely a brave boy. As my BOY would say, "that gives me the heebie jeebies."

  2. 2005 was a great year for babies. My son just turned three yesterday, and he is the sweetest, most adorable little guy!
However, I'm not sure what he would do if he were holding a hissing cockroach.
I love the look on his face in the second picture:0)

  3. Snorkie and his PapPap read about bugs everyday for two weeks last summer and he did a hissing cockroach impression whenever he saw the picture. "Maddy" is so tame from being handled that she no longer hisses. (bummer) but just the feeling of those little legs made him decide to say "off, off, OFF!
Yup, that was a very good year for babies! God Bless.

  5. The words "hiss" and "roach" describing the same creature would certain prevent me from wanting to be near it as well.

    KEEP BELIEVING

I really do like to hear from you!
I'm just getting the hang of all this
"Bloggy" stuff, but I'll try to get back
