I'd like to be Whelmed, Please

I've always wondered why we never hear of people being
They are often Over-Whelmed...
and sometimes Under-Whelmed...
but never seem to be "Whelmed".

It seems to me that whelmingness would be the perfect state.
Not too much or too little...Make sense???

Lately our family has been somewhat
Over Whelmed.

Seeker Man has had some
going on...

We are thrilled and excited that he has
moved back home...

Of course, he never lived with us in this house...
but that's good because we have the
ROOM for him here...
Our old house was somewhat smaller.
The little munchkins are SO happy to have
their Big Brother with us,

I think Big Brother is having fun being Adored too!

He's getting all sorts of things figured out...
and seeking God seriously for the first time.

Can I hear an AMEN out there, People?!

There are still some tough times, decisions
and Spiritual Warfare to get through...

But I have Faith and Trust in the LORD.
and,Blessedly, we KNOW who WINS!

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle,

be our protection against

the wickedness and snares of the Devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,

and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,

by the power of God,

cast into Hell, Satan and all the evil spirits

who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Thanks to anyone out there praying for us, we appreciate it!

  1. "Whelmed" sounds good to me, too! I'll be praying for y'all :)

  2. That's great news!

Sometimes those life-changing things going on in life are needed to push one in the right direction, huh?

  3. Great post. Amen. I went and looked up whelmed. It means to submerge, engulf. So it would be appropriate to say in that pool of yours. LOL =)

  4. Whelmed. What a delightfully sounding state of affairs!

    Sending good thoughts your way!

  5. I love it! I want to be "whelmed" too!

  6. I love the thought of being "whelmed." That's great.

  7. I've often felt disheveled, and wonder what it would be like to be sheveled! Or heveled...

I've a fondness for hills and islands and other high places dedicated to St Michael.

Glad you've found good links at mine, Dave King is a very thoughtful, clever chap, isn't he, always worth taking a bit of time over. Thanks as ever for visiting, I'll rmember to put you on my feeds this time!

  8. YAY!!! God does things in His time often leaving us standing around with our mouths gaping open in wonder! Praying for a truly jaw-dropping continuation of your miracle. xoxo

  9. It's nice to meet you. I totally agree with you . . . I would loved to be "whelmed" . . . sounds just perfect!

I enjoyed looking at your previous post of your daughter in her various dancing roles. As the mother of three sons, I miss out on things like that.

Now anything about football, or soccer, or basketball . . .

    God bless!

  10. I'm sure you'll whelm this new situation. It's sometimes a real surprise to see coming back a big brother! Life sometimes put one to the test.

  11. Love the names for your "weans." (that is the scottish word for kids) I am glad the oldest is getting things figured out.

  12. what a thoughtful observation...perhaps you should start a 'whelming' club so that all of us mommy bloggers can try to experience the perfection of being 'whelmed'...not over or under... :-) love it.

  13. I love the whelming idea. So glad big brother is home and waking up, I'll throw in some prayers for his continued progress.

  14. I can totally appreciate being "whelmed". But just tonight on our drive home I felt even better than "whelmed". I felt "combobulated!!"

Please leave me your thoughts.

I really do like to hear from you!
I'm just getting the hang of all this
"Bloggy" stuff, but I'll try to get back
to each of you when I can!
